This seminar, presented by DiTrolio Flexographic Institute, is ideal for beginning press operators and individuals who are interested in learning the basic principles and practices of flexography. This seminar provides participants with an education in the fundamental theories behind the flexographic printing process and exposes them to the hands-on operation of the press. Active demonstrations of press operations will guide the discussion of topics, including applications and advantages of flexographic printing; correlations between inks, solvents, and common substrates; basic color separation principles of two-four spot color; close registration jobs; and platemaking, mounting, and press operations. This seminar will impress the importance of press safety and environmental concerns. At the completion of this course, attendees will be prepared to become responsible and effective press operators. Upon completion of the seminar, a Level I certification exam will be administered.
The hands-on portion of this class will take place in the "Narrow to Mid-Web Technology Center" on the show floor and will enable attendees to see all principles demonstrated on a working press in a production environment. This training opportunity is targeted at those looking to enter the flexo field, those already in the field looking to improve their skills, or those in areas such as sales or customer service who need to improve their understanding of the technology. DiTrolio Flexographic Institute offers industry-specific training seminars for all skill levels either at their own fully equipped Broadview, IL site or at customer sites.
